Choose Your Enrollment Date
New classes begin every two weeks on Fridays. Enrollment is limited to ensure every horse receives individual attention.
January 29 is the Last Start Date of the Season
Horses enrolled on January 29 will complete the full six-month program by late summer — ideal timing for fall two-year-old sales and race preparation. September 18 is currently full; all other dates remain open for enrollment.
Three-Phase Pricing
Tuition is billed by the day based on the phase of training. Full program enrollment is required — horses progress through all three phases.
Elementary
Months 1–2 · Foundation & Mind TrainingThe critical first phase. We establish trust, respect, and the foundational habits that every future training session will build upon.
Winter Break Farm Care
Months 3–4 · Rest & DevelopmentA structured rest period. Owners may take their yearling home at no charge, or leave them in our care for daily handling, turnout, and monitoring.
High School
Months 5–6 · Race PreparationThe final phase prepares your horse for the racetrack. Saddling, bitting, long-lining, gate work, and the gate card examination.
All pricing is per horse, per day. Volume discounts available for six or more horses — see special offers below.
What Does the Full Program Cost?
Transparency matters. Here is exactly what a complete six-month program costs — and what you get for it.
The Best Investment You Can Make in a Racehorse
Consider what is at stake. A yearling purchased at Keeneland or Fasig-Tipton represents tens of thousands — often hundreds of thousands — of dollars. The difference between a horse that ships to the track ready to train and one that arrives green, resistant, or gate-shy is not talent. It is foundation.
A full program at The Baby Racehorse School costs less than a single month of day-rate training at most major training centers — and it is the only investment that cannot be made later. The window to build a truly solid foundation closes before the horse ever sees a racetrack. We work in that window.
Horses that graduate our program load quietly, stand for the farrier, accept equipment without drama, and walk into the starting gate with confidence. That is not a small thing. That is the difference between a horse that gives its trainer every opportunity to succeed and one that spends its first six months at the track unlearning bad habits.
