About

Built Around One Belief.

Before a young Thoroughbred can become a racehorse, it must first learn how to be a confident, manageable, well-educated horse.

Our Philosophy

The Baby Racehorse School was created to address a gap in the Thoroughbred industry: the critical period between weaning and breaking, when young horses are forming their foundational understanding of the world.

Too often, yearlings arrive at breaking facilities with gaps in their education — horses that have been handled but not truly taught, exposed but not truly prepared. The result is a more difficult, more time-consuming, and sometimes more dangerous breaking process.

We believe that investing in a proper foundation before breaking produces better horses, better athletes, and better outcomes for owners, trainers, and the horses themselves.

How We Work

Patient

We do not rush. Every horse progresses at the pace that is right for them. Patience in the early stages pays dividends throughout a horse's career.

Consistent

Horses learn through repetition and routine. Our program provides the consistent daily structure that young horses need to build genuine understanding.

Individual

Every horse is different. We observe, adapt, and adjust our approach to each student while maintaining clear standards and expectations.

Progressive

Each lesson builds on the one before it. We never ask a horse to skip steps — we build the foundation that makes every next step easier.

Our Commitment to Owners

When you send a yearling to The Baby Racehorse School, you are investing in that horse's future. We take that responsibility seriously.

We provide regular communication throughout the program, a detailed graduation report at the conclusion of each horse's enrollment, and honest assessment of each horse's progress and readiness for the next stage.

Our goal is simple: to return your horse to you more confident, more manageable, and more prepared than when they arrived.

We aren't trying to rush young horses. We're preparing them for everything that comes next.
